I don't know how it happened. Suddenly, I was drawing the avatars of my Specter friends on Gaia; these cute little chibi things that I like the original drawings of better. But I found myself drawing them, and lining them in Illustrator, and giving them the basic colors, and then shading them in Photoshop. And I liked the results, mostly. I can't remember what I was doing, but I found this one pokemon picture somewhere (I think it was Eevee and Umbreon), and I absolutely loved it. So I started drawing pokemon. Vaporeon came first, and after I decided how to draw her, I got to work. Took me a while to get the head right, but I got it. Then I did the same routine as before: lines and base colors in Illustrator, shading in Photoshop. I played around a bit with a full backround color and some brushes, and suddenly I had just the look I was going for. And my first ever, completed work, with a background and everything.
I didn't want to stop. I still don't. I put up Eevee, and Castform (though I admit, Castform's background has a bit of a recycled look), and I'm working on Umbreon with a combination of Magikarp (you'll see). I finally have something to do this summer. Yay.
